Guided Meditation
With all of clients, I take time to introduce various meditation techniques that custom-tailored to meet your needs. Taking into account sensory needs and preferences, I aspire to gently guide my clients, not restrain or contain, into prolonged states of mental and physical relaxation that often lead to the release of stress and tension in the body. These guided relaxation and centering techniques are largely based in various Indigenous traditions. Based on my personal experience and studies I largely pull on my knowledge of Buddhist and Yogic philosophies to include somatic awareness and breathwork that is grounded in cultural context. Before I introduce any new skill or meditation technique, I make sure to share their cultural context and origins.
